As per the notification of the education department regarding the amendment made in the rule number 3 of Gujarat RTE Rules-2018, the matter of re-instruction. Reference: -  Notification dated 31/01/2050 2) The letter no.  03/09/2060 3) Letter No. of the office here: Prashini / RTE / 32630/3050 / 2-60 dt.  As per Act-2006, Gujarat RTE Rules-2018 is being implemented in the entire state.

The following changes have been made in Rule No. 02 (1) of Gujarat RTE Rules-2018 by the notification of the education department with reference.  Chapter 2: Right to Free and Compulsory Education

(1) A child who has not completed 6th year of age on 1st June of the academic year will normally not be admitted in primary school.  During the academic years 2060-21, 2021-2 and 206-9, any child who has completed 5 years of age on 1st June of that academic year will be eligible for admission in that year.

Notification of the Department of Education regarding the aforesaid amendment has been sent from the reference letter.  But, the matter may have been submitted by many parents at this office

The publicity of this matter does not seem to have been done properly at the district level.  Therefore, it is reiterated that the above mentioned improvements should be reported to all the primary schools under your jurisdiction immediately.  Parents should also be advised that, if a parent wants to give pre-primary education to their child, the schools in which the child is enrolled in pre-primary (Playgroup, Nursery, Jr.KG, Sr.KG)  Admission should be given so that when the child completes pre-primary education and takes action to get admission in Std.

If any school will give admission without considering the above declaration and in the academic year 206-2 the student who has completed pre-primary education and takes action to get admission in Std.  And that student will have to study primary education again 1 year ago.

This will create an atmosphere of conflict with the guardian and the school as well as the office.  In short, a child who has not completed the 6th year of age from June 308-9 will not normally be admitted to Std-1 in elementary school.  Therefore, you have been instructed earlier to take action as all the primary schools under your jurisdiction are aware of from this notification, however, it is advised to take action as above.
